As the city of Dhangadhi rapidly grows in population and urban<\/p>\n

activity, the need for proper management of public spaces has<\/p>\n

become crucial. One of the pressing concerns is the issue of<\/p>\n

unmanaged parking, as seen in various locations across the city.<\/p>\n

Vehicles, including motorcycles and scooters, are often parked on<\/p>\n

sidewalks and pedestrian pathways, as shown in the attached image.<\/p>\n

This creates obstructions for pedestrians and contributes to traffic<\/p>\n

congestion. The lack of designated parking areas and clear<\/p>\n

regulations leads to chaotic conditions, especially in busy zones.<\/p>\n

Pedestrians are forced to walk on the road due to blocked footpaths,<\/p>\n

increasing the risk of accidents. Additionally, such disorganised<\/p>\n

parking gives a negative impression of the city\u2019s overall urban<\/p>\n

planning. It is recommended that the municipality allocate more<\/p>\n

designated parking spaces throughout the city, particularly in busy<\/p>\n

commercial areas.The traffic police should enforce parking<\/p>\n

regulations to ensure that vehicles are not parked on sidewalks or<\/p>\n

public pathways. Public awareness campaigns about the importance<\/p>\n

of responsible parking can help improve this issue. The municipality<\/p>\n

could also explore the option of building multi-level parking facilities<\/p>\n

to reduce street-level congestion.<\/p>\n

On a positive note, Dhangadhi has seen considerable improvements<\/p>\n

in cleanliness and environmental sustainability under the leadership<\/p>\n

of Mayor Gopi Hamal. The Clean Green City initiative has<\/p>\n

significantly improved the city\u2019s appearance, contributing to better<\/p>\n

air quality, increased greenery, and an overall healthier environment.<\/p>\n

The program has successfully organised numerous tree-planting<\/p>\n

campaigns, enhancing the city\u2019s greenery and reducing pollution.<\/p>\n

Effective waste management strategies, including regular garbage<\/p>\n

collection and the establishment of proper waste disposal sites,<\/p>\n

have contributed to a cleaner city. Mayor Gopi Hamal\u2019s efforts to<\/p>\n

involve citizens in the cleanliness drive have created a sense of<\/p>\n

community responsibility, ensuring that public areas remain clean.<\/p>\n

While Dhangadhi city has made notable strides towards becoming a<\/p>\n

model clean and green city, the unmanaged parking problem needs<\/p>\n

urgent attention. We sincerely hope that the municipality will take<\/p>\n

action to address the parking issue while continuing its excellent<\/p>\n

work under the Clean Green City program. With these improvements,<\/p>\n

Dhangadhi can continue to flourish as a sustainable, well-managed<\/p>\n
